DASHBOARD
The Dashboard is the Opening Screen of NeoTrader. It is designed to FACILITATE YOU TO CREATE A MARKET VIEW. The page populates as soon as the market starts for the day and remains Live all thru the trading day until market close.
Let’s take a tour of what’s on the Dashboard. It opens with the Main tab (default) and contains the following.
Broad Market indices and Sector View

These two boxes plot the gains and losses for market indices (left) as well as Sectors (right). It gives you a Quick View on how the market is trading as of that moment. By looking at the picture you will immediately get an idea of which indices and which sectors are up or down today.
Hovering the cursor over the Index or Sector name within the respective box will highlight the name and day’s change (so far) in % terms.
Advance Decline, Price Gainers and Price Losers

A pie chart captures the Advances and Declines of a particular universe and depicts them as portions of a pie. There are two colour classifications- Red for Losers and Green for Gainers. And within this there are a further two colour classifications- Light red and Light green (for changes from 0-2% either negative or positive) and Dark red and Dark green (for changes beyond 2% either negative or positive respectively).
A unique feature of NeoTrader is the ability to track these changes in two different ways. These are available in the drop box situated next to where it says Dashboard. See image below

You can choose the Universe you desire from the drop down menu in the first box (default is set to F&O list) and then you can choose to see changes either from the last day close to current day prices (choose Close) or from today open to present. (Choose Open).
The Price gainers and losers image will rank the best 5 gainers and losers of the day. Hover over the image to get the change of the stock in %. This list of top 5 gainers / losers updates dynamically throughout the day.HeatMap
HeatMap

The Heat Map is populated by the stocks belonging to the universe chosen in the drop down window described above. If you change the universe then the stocks will change. Stock names with change % for the day are shown in the individual boxes of the heat map.
The Heat map is colour coded in the same manner as used in the breadth pie chart. Dark and Light Green and Dark and Light Red. This makes it easy to read. If you change the setting in the earlier drop down window from Close to Open, the stocks in the Heat map change suitably, depicting the % change from the open.

Returning to the top of the page and looking at the left menus, the first menu will contain two options. The first tab is Dashboard - which has been described above.
The next option is Market View (1). While one is navigating the Dashboard (Main page), moving to the top, the hierarchy (2) is seen. Here again one can use the “Market View” option to navigate to the page.
Choose Sector View (this is by default open) to see a detailed view of sector changes. This opens a separate page. If you wish to open this in a different tab, click right mouse on the tab and choose ‘Open in a new tab’.
The page presents a detailed view of sectors. At the top are two selection boxes. First one is by time frame. Click to change through Day-Week- Month etc to see Sector changes in those periods. Next to that is another box where it gives a facility to see from OPEN or CLOSE.
Two views of Sector Bar charts are presented.

The numbers within the bar chart indicate the % of stocks that comprise the changes. The same colour coding use is maintained Light Red and Green (0- 2% change) and Dark Red and Green (> 2% change).
Two sets of bar charts are shown. One shows the changes based on Close while the second one shows the same from Open.
For weekly selection, the changes in Open setting will mean change from Monday whereas Close would mean change from previous weekly close. Similarly, so for other time frame settings.
Beneath this is the complete list of stocks belonging to each of the sector and their changes. The changes will be shown as per the time frame chosen in the top drop down window. Hover the cursor above the name to read the change in %.
The changes shown across different time frames and the Close vs. Open setting are unique to NeoTrader.
The next tab on the Market View page is Stats. Click on Stats tab to open a page containing some Trend status statistics for a universe.
Currently the status is shown only for F&O universe. Other sectors will be added in future. This page is a Summary of the signal status of various stocks.

Stock Change shows the number of stocks that have changed. They are grouped in different buckets as can be seen for both Gainers and Losers.
Pivots Change shows where the stocks are trading today relative to the Daily Pivot and its extensions above and below. It uses 4 resistance levels and 4 support levels. Measuring form the Pivot (P) it checks how many stocks are present in each bucket of the Pivot extension range both above and below the Pivot.
Gaps Change shows the number of stocks that have shown gaps (up or down) today. It further delineates this into Gaps that see a follow thru price action (in the direction of the gap) and those that do not.
All the three boxes are designed to give a quick idea to the user about the Breadth Status and Trend status of the breadth today. It is a unique way of reading the market, available only in NeoTrader.
The final tab on the Market View page is Market Replay. Clicking on Market Replay will take you to the Sector View page.

This tab is designed to replay the market action thru 30 minute time windows so that one can review the day as it played out thru time.
This time lapse view is currently available only for the Day. Note on the Image above the two buttons named Play and Pause. Pressing Play starts the replay starting with the view as of 9.15 am and winds thru in 30 minute intervals until the close of the day. Pressing Pause will halt the play so that one can study the changes before pressing Resume which will recommence the replay function.
This is yet another unique feature from NeoTrader.
